Anchor, Ceramic Kit for Mindfulness and Presence

The Anchor is a Portuguese handcrafted ceramic experience, designed as a tool for emotional regulation and presence. The piece is born on Céu Pedrosa's wheel, in Bajouca, a parish in the municipality of Leiria with a pottery tradition dating back to the 15th century. Then, Muud applies the holes and textures that guide breathing and touch. No two pieces are exactly alike. It passes through three hands: the one that molds, the one that textures, and yours, which paints.

What the Anchor is

It's not a decorative object; it's a piece designed to be used: to paint, breathe, feel, and return to when you need a moment of presence. The experience combines the physical object with the Muud app, with content developed in collaboration with Stephanie, Psychotherapist at Psicoterapia do Coração.

The four moments of the experience

Create. You paint the piece with Muud colors; the shape already exists, the color is yours.

Breathe. The upper part of your anchor has holes that guide breathing, at a rhythm designed to calm the nervous system. The app has a panel of breathing exercises that accompanies this moment.

Feel. The body of the piece has curves and textures designed for the hands. The app has a panel dedicated to touch, with an explanatory video, exercises, and a guided meditation.

Integrate. 30 cards with questions for reflection, one at a time, at your own pace.

The Muud app

After purchase, you automatically receive email access to the Muud app. There you will find the Breathe panel, the Feel panel, the cards in digital format, and the painting ritual guide, with resources to mix the primary colors and create your own. With the cards, you swipe right to answer immediately or left to save for later, and you can download your reflections to a document and revisit them whenever you want. Your ritual can begin even before the piece arrives at your home.

Where your Anchor is born

Bajouca is located a few kilometers from Leiria and is known for its pottery tradition, which may date back to the 15th century and was born from the light and fine clay of the region. Céu Pedrosa, our potter, learned the craft from her grandfather at the age of 9: her great-grandfather, grandfather, and father were also potters. She is the one who shapes the Piece on the potter's wheel. Then, Muud applies the holes and textures to each piece, one by one. The Anchor passes through two different hands before reaching yours.

The Anchor is not just for those who already practice mindfulness. It is for anyone who is open to receiving a moment of presence, whether at home, at their desk, or wherever they need it.

LEGAL NOTES: 

Each Anchor is hand-molded on the potter's wheel. Small variations in shape, color, and finish between pieces are natural to the handmade process, are part of what makes each piece unique, and are not considered a defect.
